San Francisco Indian Music Project (SFIMP) is a vibrant, community-driven music collective based in the heart of the Bay Area. What started as a small group of passionate musicians has rapidly grown into a massive movement celebrating South Asian musical heritage, fused with modern global sounds.
We host diverse musical experiences—from massive public jam sessions to highly-curated weekly themed jams spanning Bollywood, Indian Classical, Acoustic, and Rock. Our musicians range from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned professionals, all united by a shared love for the craft.
Beyond live events, SFIMP produces high-quality studio sessions, pushing the boundaries of traditional arrangements with innovative mashups and covers that resonate with a global audience.
